Broken Arrow – Episode 5 – Craig Williams
For March we have a killer mix from Craig Williams. This is a recording from a show recently where he opened for MSTRKRFT. Craig opened the night with some underground fidget style electro. Born in Melbourne, Victoria, Craig Williams started his love of music early. Whether it was listening to heavy metal with his brother or playing the Doors in the car with his Dad, Craig loved music. Most weekends were spent making the trip into the city to go through and explore record stores trying to find that new sound. As he grew, he played in a couple of punk bands and worked in a bakery whilst finishing school. This is where he was first exposed to dance music. He would spend his Saturday nights working and listening to banging beats and driving synth lines… he had found the new sound he was looking for.
In the studio Craig’s work is gaining momentum and drive with each track, spending tireless hours at the desk trying to perfect the sound that has come to be Craig Williams. His remixes and original tracks indicate a range and musicianship that makes Craig Williams a force to be reckoned with in his own right. Covering a variety of genres from Ozzy Osbourne to The Presets and soon to be released remix of Method Man’s Dangerous MCs, Craig shows that he does not limit himself to one style while still staying true to the music.
